Beneq Code of Conduct

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This Code of Conduct (hereinafter “Code”) describes Beneq’s (hereinafter “Company”) commonly accepted business practices, ethical principles, and our commitment to compliance with laws and regulations. The Code outlines our uniform foundation for all business transactions and working relationships in the Company. Furthermore, the Code describes the ethical principles that underpin how we conduct business in our Company. We recognize the importance of transparency and business integrity in everything we do. There might also be more specific guidelines in each country which apply to employees in the said country.

The Code is introduced to all new employees as part of orientation program within the first week of employment and applies to all employees in the Company.

WE COMPLY WITH NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS

We abide by all the appropriate international and national laws and regulations. We adhere to our own internal Company policies and procedures and ask for guidance whenever we are unsure. We refrain from any dealings with competitors or other firms that could be harmful to us. Company and employees are required to comply with the laws and regulations of the countries in which we operate.

We conduct our business with the utmost professionalism and integrity, and to the most demanding moral, ethical, and legal standards. We keep our promises and take due care of our own employees and the people and firms we do business with. We develop working partnerships that are fair, responsible, and mutually beneficial. We commit to keeping strictly confidential and not disclosing to third parties any confidential information related to the Company. The confidentiality obligation continues indefinitely after the termination of the employment.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO MAINTAINING A SAFE, HEALTHY AND FAIR WORKPLACE FOR OUR EMPLOYEES

We take responsibility for our own safety, and our colleagues’, by following the Company’s safety standards. Managers at all levels act as an example to their team members in safety-oriented behavior in all situations. We encourage a healthy balance between work and personal life, and we do not tolerate any form of abuse, intimidation, or harassment at work, whether that’s physical, sexual, or psychological.

WE ARE AGAINST CORRUPTION

We condemn all corrupt business practices and refuse to take part in any act of bribery, whether of government officials or anyone else. We do not pay bribes or illegal payments to obtain or retain business. Any demand for, or offer of, a bribe must be rejected immediately and reported to management. We do not become involved in business relationships that may lead to conflicts of interest. Our business is generated only on the merits of Company’s products and services.

WE AVOID CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

We take care that no personal considerations or relationships influence the way we do business on behalf of Company. We ensure that our business travel and accommodation expenses are always appropriate and are not incurred by improper purposes. We do not give or accept gifts or entertainment that exceed normal standards of hospitality between our business partners. Employees must not seek gain for themselves or others through misuse of their positions.

WE RESPECT IPR AND OTHER COMPANY ASSETS

We are committed to respecting the IPR of the Company and our business partners. We are required to take necessary precautions to safeguard confidential information. We respect our Company’s assets and never seek to gain personal advantage by misusing Company assets, information, or our personal position at the Company.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO SUSTAINABILITY

We comply with all applicable environmental regulations and standards and each employee shall adhere to the company policies and instructions regarding environmental protection. We aim to integrate quality, safety, and sustainability into every aspect of our business, with the goal of optimizing energy utilization and production processes.  We are committed to increasing sustainable manufacturing practices and thereby, engineering a better future. We continue to review our operational efficiency to seek alternative solutions for energy-intensive manufacturing processes. In addition to our own commitment to sustainability, we expect our partners to comply with any applicable environmental standards and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR MONITORING AND FOLLOWING UP ON THE CODE

Management team and ultimately the CEO are responsible for monitoring and following up on matters relating to the Code. The Code is subject to periodical review by Company’s Leadership Team. Leadership Team also ensures that the Code is communicated and understood within the organization.

We want all our employees and other stakeholders to feel they can freely report any concerns they might have about possible violations of this Code. Provision has been made for employees to be able to report in confidence and no employee will suffer as a consequence of doing so. Employees can report concerns to their own manager, Management Team members, or human resources.
