Jason Harrison

Dr. Jason G. Harrison

CEO

Dr. Harrison is a semiconductor industry executive with deep expertise in atomic layer deposition and broader capital equipment technologies. With over 25 successful new product introductions from concept to high-volume manufacturing, he brings senior leadership experience from Applied Materials, Lam Research, Veeco Instruments, and Picosun, complemented by an early career at Intel that gives him perspective from both the customer and equipment-supplier sides of the industry. At Beneq, he leads the company’s continued advancement of ALD technology for semiconductor, optical, and R&D markets. Dr. Harrison holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis. 

Ms. Hanna Osara

Vice President, People and Culture

Ms. Hanna Osara joined Beneq in August 2023. She is an HR professional with 20+ years of experience in scaling fast-growing SMEs’ HR operations and leading corporate HR processes in an MNC. Prior to Beneq, she led HR operations at Canatu and Mobidiag, and worked in a variety of HR roles at Ahlstrom Corporation. Hanna has an extensive international background, having lived for several years in the USA, China, and Europe. Additionally, she has expanded her business acumen through her experience leading the Finnish Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, China.

Mr. Sami Sneck

Vice President, Advanced ALD

Mr. Sneck joined the company in 2005, and since then has held various professional and management positions at Beneq, including Product Manager, Application Manager, Director of ALD group, Head of Sales and Head of Asia, in which position he spent two years in Shanghai, China. He received his MSc degree in Chemical Engineering in 2001 from Helsinki University of Technology. Mr. Sneck has special expertise in Atomic Layer Deposition technology and business development. He has also played a vital role in introducing various ALD production concepts and solutions to several industries ranging from jewelry to photovoltaics, electronics, and the semiconductor industry.

Mr. Pasi Meriläinen

Vice President, Semiconductor ALD

Pasi Meriläinen, Vice President at Beneq, brings over 17 years of expertise in thin film technology and equipment solutions. Throughout his career at Beneq, Pasi has held key roles, including Head of Product and Head of Equipment and Projects, where he played a crucial role in advancing Beneq’s position in the Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) industry. With a background in nanotechnology and thin films, Pasi has led the development of innovative solutions for semiconductor and industrial applications. Prior to Beneq, he held product management roles at Photonium and Nextrom, focusing on fiber optic processes and electronic insertion systems. He holds a B.Sc. in Automation Engineering Technology from North Karelia University of Applied Sciences.

Mr. Aleksi Arva

Vice President, Operations

Mr. Aleksi Arva joined Beneq in 2021. He has over 10 years of experience in lean management and supply chain operations. Prior to Beneq, he led the procurement function at Lassila & Tikanoja. Mr. Arva also has experience working in an international environment within the medical equipment manufacturing industry with KaVo Kerr as a Buyer and Sourcing Manager. He received his M.Eng. degree in Industrial Management from Lappeenranta University of Technology. Today, he is in charge of all of Beneq’s operations, including supply chain.

Mr. Tuomas Virtanen

CFO

Tuomas Virtanen joined Beneq as Senior Business Controller in 2023 and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2024. He is a strategic finance executive with more than 15 years of experience leading financial operations, business performance management, and long-term value creation in multinational companies. Before joining Beneq, he held senior leadership roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific, HKScan, and L’Oréal, where he guided global and regional finance functions and supported major strategic initiatives. He has a strong track record in building high-performing teams, strengthening financial governance, and partnering with boards, investors, and executive leaders to drive sustainable growth. He holds an M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration from Turku School of Economics.
