• How Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) works

Atomic layer deposition, ALD, is a thin film technology that enables new and highly competitive products. Typical applications of ALD contain a requirement to manufacture very precise nanometer–thick, pinhole–free and totally conformal thin films on any shape and geometry.

This video describes the benefits of ALD coatings with an example of an ALD coating process for TiO2.

  • A Thinner World - Introduction to Beneq

Beneq® is the Home of ALD. Beneq Corporation has two business units: Beneq ALD Solutions and Lumineq Displays.

Our Atomic Layer Deposition solutions improve the performance and durability of electronics and optics. They are the invisible advantage in emerging semiconductor, IoT, 5G and automotive applications.

Our Lumineq® displays are the most transparent displays in the world. Rugged Lumineq displays tolerate extreme conditions better than any other display type.

  • High Aspect Ratio ALD at University of Pardubice

The University of Pardubice uses ALD for coating nanostructures. They have an ALD tool with a stop-flow option that allows them to create uniform coatings on high aspect ratio structures. One of the main research areas is photovoltaics, where TiO2 nanotubes enable significantly increased absorption of light and higher photocurrent, resulting in more efficient solar cells.

  • Beneq nSILVER anti-tarnish ALD coating demonstration

Tarnishing is a long–established challenge in the silver industry. Oxidation, sulfidation and corrosion cause discoloration of the silver surface, which decreases the shelf-life of silver products and collector items. Beneq nSILVER is an industrial-scale turnkey production solution for the protection of silver against tarnishing. It consists of optimized anti-tarnish production equipment and a unique coating process developed and patented by Beneq.
