    Atomic layer deposition, ALD, is a thin film technology that enables new and highly competitive products. Typical applications of ALD contain a requirement to manufacture very precise nanometer–thick, pinhole–free and totally conformal thin films on any shape and geometry.

  • High Aspect Ratio ALD at University of Pardubice

    The University of Pardubice uses ALD for coating nanostructures. They have an ALD tool with a stop-flow option that allows them to create uniform coatings on high aspect ratio structures. One of the main research areas is photovoltaics, where TiO2 nanotubes enable significantly increased absorption of light and higher photocurrent, resulting in more efficient solar cells.
